474 MSC MD Nastran v2011.11 MSC MD (Multi Discipline) Nastran is a CAE system used in solving problems of mechanics of a deformable solid, heat transfer, hydro- and gas dynamics, electro- and magnetostatics, as well as other areas of physics. MSC MD Nastran combines best-in-class computer-aided engineering analysis systems including MSC Nastran, MSC Marc, MSC Dytran and MSC LS-DYNA into one fully integrated supersystem for enterprise-wide “multidisciplinary” modeling. MSC MD Nastran enables users to move from highly specialized modeling and analysis tools to an integrated, enterprise-wide solution. Using a single computational model for “multidisciplinary” modeling allows minimizing the time usually spent on preparing multiple computational models, converting and transferring data from one.
